Well I have been slack in updating my photo blog of late however that is because I have been busy planning a wedding & getting married.
These are just some of the photos we got at my favourite lookout in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia, Flat Rock... known to the locals as Sunset Rock.
Amazing views as you can see, but it can be very windy & cold also. All adds to the magic of the place. Spring is the best time to visit here as it has some amazing & beautiful wildflowers and the sun hits the cliff faces and brings out unbelievable colours from the rock.
At a friend's house hand feeding the King Parrots. I absolutely love these birds they are gorgeous.
And this group have learned to be very trusting of us. Jus another thing I love about where I live.
Chinese NY celebrations & I pic the busiest day to go to Little Asia Sydney to find my wedding dress material. It's all good though. Made the day heaps of fun, even if a bit noisy & crowded. Got all my material & cheap. Woohoo very happy.
Here we're some pics from the day.
Today is a beautiful day in the mountains, misty cool, drizzly. This view is totally different today than other sunny days. Normally you can see a huge amount of scenery but today it's cut short by the very low cloud cover.
Overcast & misty. Just one of the many changable seasons we get living in the Blue Mountains. Sometime all 4 seasons in one day! Certainly a place you need to be well prepared for when going "Bush Bashing" (aka 4 Wheel Driving), or hiking.
Nearby I took these wild flower pics. Just beautiful.
Battleship Tops was an interesting spot we stumbled upon by chance. Read the plaques for more details.
01 Jan 2012 started with a real treat. It was a comfortably sunny day. Gorgeous blue skys, picture perfect. Just the right conditions in Bluey's mind for an afternoon walk in the sun, around my house. She flattened herself out here a bit thinking I was going to pic her up but I rarely do as she's no exactly keen. She likes to be left alone to herself and her daily routines. Whatever they may be. I just find her fascinating to watch each time she comes right out, exposed like this.
It's a real treat as she doesn't often fully expose herself like this so I am glad I had my phone handy to capture this image. What an awesome way to start the year off!
