Discovered these photos again from October 2010, I'd been given a bouquet of flowers for my birthday and amongst them was this really unusual large flower with chunky, furry petals and inside a sea urchin of stamen.

(Would love to know what the name of this flower is. I took a photo from a wider range, but it didn't really come out. My search on google images for 'furry petal flower' hasn't been so forthcoming either .. haha)
