New lens
November 13, 2014
I just got a beat up PC-Nikkor 35mm f3.5 shift lens from ebay. It is missing some bits, has had a piece filed off the slider mount and needs some TLC, however, it is the first shift lens Nikon made and dates to between 1962-8. These images are crops from my d600, the first with the shift lens the second with my AF 35mm f2 nikkor then my 50mm f1.8 AFD, Lensbaby composer with sweet 35 and the soligor that I use because it transmits UV well. I think the shift lens stands up very well by comparison. I am also starting to think that I have a 35mm focal length problem, as well as these I have a 15-30 sigma, a 24-85 nikon and an olympus 35mm f2!
