Every few years I end up at the Royal Show here in Melbourne. It's noisy, crowded and a very excited sort of place; not my scene at all. It made for some pretty colourful photos though. The carnival side of things has taken over from the farming and trade show side of things, which is what I remember as a child. I have photos of my brother and me sitting on tractors and harvesters, looking at cows and sheep, that sort of thing when we were under ten. My, things change as the decades roll by!
