I went this morning before sunrise (it was -10 C !!) to the lake and managed to capture the first golden lights twinkling on the townhouse windows on the other side of the lake. This is a HDR shot done with exposure bracketing and putting 3 shots together with Enfuse in lightroom which gives more of the "realistic" (not the cartoonish) type results for HDR.
