Earthquake in the north
December 16, 2008
Well today the south of Sweden woke up the largest earthquake since 1904. The earthquake had an magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale. I always had the impression that the plate Sweden rests on is very old and quiet, but apparently the south of Sweden has a faultline that runs straight through with the Baltic plate on the north side. We learn something new everyday :)
