i feel fortunate to have people that i know who inspire me and who get me excited about things that i would have never noticed before or had decided to ignore. there are folk can pick up on those almost invisible things that make us human, those nuances of everyday life and then eloquently write about it in a song, in a letter or put it in drawing; a hard thing to do for people like me to do, but not for my friend sicamore, subject of portrait number two. here is my ode to him, the hot chocolate i had while i made it and a pattern on a plate that gave me the color ideas.
