The other day, we took my parents on a day trip to do one our favorite hikes in Maryland--the Maryland Heights trail which offers a gorgeous view of the historic town of Harpers Ferry nestled between the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers. We gave my parents instructions for the hike and sent them on their way. For the two hours it took them to get there and back, we strolled the banks of the Potamac with our son, who seems to really enjoy being outdoors. In the first photo, the cliff to the left of the Potomac is the one that offers the awesome view of Harpers Ferry and the two rivers.
