WAYAPERRI means 'Meeting Place' in the native aboriginal people from around the area where I work and live. On Friday, my work opened WAYAPERRI House, an Adult Community Education Campus. The council, state and federal governments gave funds for it's construction and some of our recently arrived 'Karen' students from Burma gave a fantastic performance of traditional culture, music and dance.
