leaving wanchai
December 4, 2010
Went to drop off a few items at my new apartment in North Point. On first impression, North Point is more local than Wan Chai with mostly HK style eateries that do not offer English menus! There is even a traditional Chinese opera theatre - i think it is. The area is also conveniently serviced by minibuses (first pic).

I met up with a friend in Wan Chai who had recently relocated from Sydney as well. We met outside The Pawn - which looked pretty quiet on a Saturday night.. We proceeded to somewhere quieter for a late meal at a German restaurant (or was it Austrian?). I only had a beer though.

I kinda miss Wan Chai already. It's so convenient here and also easier to get food. Not sure if I made the right choice to leave this area?

Oh in case you are wondering what the last pic with mentos is about, the serviced apartment i'm currently at ran out of $10 coins for the laundry. I had to run down to the nearby 7-eleven (or fondly called 7-jai by the locals) to break up a $100 bill. That reminds me... I've gotta check on my laundry now!
