Tucked in a residential area nearly on the boarder of the city was the hub that is Sam Adam's Brewery. Simply put, they take their brewing serious. The place was surprisingly small and learned that they brew most of their stuff in Ohio. But we learned that it all started with home brew and Boston is the home to research and innovation for the company to this day. We learned how to taste test beer properly and how to make sure bars take care of their draft lines well. They broke down how beer is made for the not so science oriented (yeast +sugar= alcohol + co2) hence where we get beer from. At the end we got to taste a few beers and who wouldn't want free beer. This was definitely worth the trip across the city. They broke down every ingredient and why or when it is used. After leaving the brewery they recommended Doyle's Pub where Sam Adam's had their first account. Best food we had in Boston, hands down.
