Jakarta, Lombok & Bali 2011 Preparation

Today I completed my medical preparation for the trip. I visited my Doctor and got my shots. Rabies, distemper, black plague. I am good to go. I filled the prescription for malaria pills too. No need to fear that annoying buzz at night now. I will tell the little suckers to bite me.
We will be leaving before the New Year so we can spend it with Lina's family in Jakarta. Our itinerary right now is one week or so in Jakarta. A week or so in Lombok at a beach front resort where we will take surf and scuba lessons, tan, enjoy great food and MAYBE climb Mt Rinjani. Rinjani is doubtful this time because it is an overnight climb to the rim of a 12,000 foot volcano, and we are not in shape for it now. We will however swim under several of the jungle waterfalls and sightsee. Then a week in Bali on the Northern coast this time. Last time we stayed in Nusa Dua on the Southeastern coast. The north is quieter and the hotel we selected is a resort with various sea activities available. Sightseeing in the parks in the area will be cool. Then to Jakarta just prior to flying home.
